A digital native, Liam Blackwell has worked in B2B digital media and marketing since 1999.
Liam set up B2B IQ in 2018 after leaving his role as Global Chief Digital Officer for Dentsu Aegis’ award-winning, global B2B Agency, gyro where he had also lead the B2B specialist media division, Carat Enterprise as President, Americas for over 6 years. He has architected and activated Brand to Demand strategy for leading B2B brands like Microsoft, HP, AIG, Workday, Grainger, Service Now and Dell Technologies
Along side his role leading B2B IQ, Liam is currently also leading Global B2B strategy at PHD Media and the Global Media Center of Excellence at Workday. Both fractional positions where he is able to apply and leverage his unique B2B ecosystem knowledge and relationships - his unique perspective has been gathered while working at B2B publishers, B2B clients and at both media-specialist and full service B2B agencies.
Continually intrigued by B2B marketing, Liam will always make himself available for an informal conversation with other senior B2B marketing practitioners. As a regular speaker at industry events like Programmatic IO and RampUp, Liam likes nothing more than discussing the power of connecting brand to demand or the importance of journey-first interoperability and simplification of the ABM tech stack. He also truly enjoys providing free B2B training sessions to teams where he tries very hard to show why B2B marketing is an important, dynamic and a complex vocation worthy of life long dedication.
Originally from Manchester, England, Liam has settled in San Anselmo, California. He has three 'very Californian' children and loves hiking and snowboarding.
